Wardrobe types we assemble
If it arrived as frames, panels, rails and a bag of fittings, we build it. IKEA PAX is most of our wardrobe work, but the same applies to any flatpack system.
- IKEA PAX — hinged and sliding doors
- Other sliding-door wardrobes
- Walk-in wardrobe systems
- Free-standing wardrobes
- Fitted and modular systems
- Interior fittings — shelves, rails, drawers, baskets
- Mirror doors
A PAX wardrobe arrives as separate articles: the frames, the interior fittings and the doors, each with its own bag of fittings and its own instruction sheet. We assemble the frames first, join them side by side, fix them to the wall, then fit the interior and hang the doors. Sliding doors go on last and are adjusted until they run the full length of the rail without catching.
Walk-in and fitted systems are the same job along more wall. Free-standing wardrobes from Fantastic Furniture, Kmart, Temple & Webster and other online stores are built the same way — and anchored wherever the instructions call for it.

What’s in the job
Your quote is one clear price for everything under “Included”. The other list is what we point you elsewhere for, or quote as an add-on.
Included
- Frame assembly — a single frame or a run of frames joined together
- Interior fittings — shelves, clothes rails, drawers, baskets and organisers
- Door hanging and alignment — hinged doors adjusted for even gaps
- Sliding rails — top and bottom tracks fitted, doors adjusted to run true
- Wall anchoring — every frame fixed to the wall where the instructions require it
- Levelling on uneven floors — packed level so the doors hang square and close properly
- Packaging flattened and tidied before we leave
Not included
- Removing an old wardrobe — tick “Disassembly of old furniture” in the quote form and we’ll quote it as an add-on
- Plasterboard repairs or patching
- Custom cutting of panels, doors or plinths
Tip before you order: measure the ceiling height and the doorway before ordering tall frames — a tall frame is assembled lying down and then raised, so it needs room to swing up. If there are stairs or a lift on the way in, tell us in the quote form.
Troubleshooting
Questions people ask about wardrobes
Do you need the wall-anchoring kit?
Anchoring is part of the job wherever the instructions require it. Which fixings suit your wall depends on what it’s made of — plasterboard, brick or timber stud — so if you know your wall type, tell us in the quote form and we’ll confirm what’s needed with your quote. If you don’t, that’s fine: our assembler checks the wall before drilling.
Can you assemble a wardrobe in a small bedroom?
Yes. Sliding-door frames are assembled lying down and then raised into place, so we need clear floor space roughly the size of the wardrobe, plus the ceiling height to stand it up. Move what you can out of the room before we arrive, and mention a tight room in the notes.
Do you assemble the interior organisers?
Yes. Shelves, clothes rails, drawers, pull-out baskets, shoe shelves and dividers are all part of the job. List which ones you’ve ordered in the items box of the quote form, or send a screenshot of your order, so the quote covers everything.
How many people come?
As many as the wardrobe needs. A single hinged-door frame and a wall of sliding-door frames are different jobs, so we decide that when we check your order — it is part of the quote.
