Why book an assembler

The bag of fittings is the easy part

What an assembler brings that the box doesn’t.

  • Every tool arrives with us

Drill, spirit level, Allen keys and wall-anchoring fixings. You supply the boxes.

  • Built to the instructions, in order

Cam locks, dowels and hinges fitted the way the manual shows. Doors and drawers aligned before we call it done.

  • Level, sturdy and anchored

Checked with a spirit level, not by eye. Tall units fixed to the wall where the instructions call for it.

  • A room you can use straight away

Packaging flattened and tidied. Want it taken away? Tick the add-on in the quote form.

Troubleshooting

Furniture assembly questions

How long does furniture assembly take?

It depends on the item and how many there are. A bedside table is quick; a bunk bed or a tall bookcase with doors takes longer, and a full office order longer again. Tell us your preferred days and times in the quote form and we’ll confirm availability with your quote.

Do I need to unpack the boxes before you arrive?

No. Leave them sealed. We open each box, build to the manufacturer’s instructions and flatten the packaging when we finish. Opening boxes early is how small fittings get lost.

Do I need to be home?

Someone needs to let us in and show us where things go. After that you can get on with your day.

Do you assemble second-hand or partly assembled furniture?

Yes, as long as the fittings are there. Tick “Partially assembled” or “Already assembled” in the quote form, add a photo and mention anything missing in the notes. If it needs dismantling first, see our disassembly service.

Can you fix furniture to the wall?

Yes, where the manufacturer’s instructions require it — bookcases, wardrobes and chests of drawers in particular. If you know your wall type (plasterboard, brick or stud), mention it in the quote form. If you’d like a unit anchored that the instructions don’t call for, tick “Wall anchoring” in the add-ons.
