Service 03

Disassembly service — every screw bagged and labelled for your move

Moving house or office? We dismantle your flatpack furniture the way it was built, bag and label every fitting per item and stack the panels in order, so it goes back together at the other end. Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and across Australia. Quote within 24 hours.

No obligation. A photo of each item and your suburb is enough to quote. Want it re-assembled at the new place? Say so in the notes.

How it works

Your next 24 hours

You do one thing. We do the rest — from checking your list to the last labelled bag.

1 Today

Send a photo of each item

A photo of the bed, wardrobe or desk as it stands is enough. Add your suburb and postcode, and the moving date if you have one. That’s your only step.

2 Within 24 hours

You get your quote

We check the items, sizes and access, then send you one clear price. No obligation.

3 Your chosen day

We dismantle it

Our assembler arrives with every tool, dismantles each item, bags and labels every fitting per item, and stacks the panels in order so it goes back together.

Often same or next day, subject to availability. Pick your preferred days and times in the quote form — ideally the day before the removalist comes.

Method

How we dismantle

Flatpack furniture only survives a move if it comes apart in the same order it went together. Every item follows the same three lines.

  • Fittings in a labelled bag, taped to the item

Screws, cam locks, dowels and hinges go into a bag marked with the item and the panel. The bag travels with the furniture, not in a loose box.

  • Panels stacked and protected

Stacked in assembly order, finished faces together, so nothing scratches on the truck and the first panel you need is on top.

  • Optional re-assembly at the new place

Say so in the notes of the quote form, with the new suburb and postcode, and we quote it for you.

  • Wardrobes, including IKEA PAX
  • Desks
  • Bookshelves
  • TV units
  • Dining tables
  • Sofas with removable frames

  • Cots
  • Office workstations

Not on the list? Text a photo of the item to 0432 470 313 and we’ll tell you with your quote whether it can be dismantled and rebuilt without damage.

Troubleshooting

Questions people ask before a move

Can you re-assemble it at the new place?

Yes, if you want it. Tell us in the notes of the quote form, with the new suburb and postcode. Because every bag is labelled per item and the panels are stacked in order, the rebuild goes straight from the top of the stack.

Do you take the furniture away?

No. This is dismantling only. We take the item apart, bag the fittings and stack the panels ready to be carried. Your removalist moves it, or you do. If you want the furniture gone rather than moved, that’s disposal, and it isn’t part of this service.

How should I prepare?

Empty the drawers and shelves, take everything off the top, and clear the space around the item so we can lay the panels flat. If the item is anchored to the wall, leave the bracket in place — we remove it and bag the screws with the rest. Let us know about stairs, lifts or narrow doorways in the notes.
